Fracture Care Service
We deliver personalised, progressive exercise programs to support recovery after fracture, focusing on restoring strength, mobility, balance, and functional movement in line with medical guidance.

At Cronulla Point Physio, John Daher is trained in the specialised skills of casting and splinting to safely immobilise injuries and support optimal healing. Casting is typically used to position and stabilise fractures during recovery, while splinting provides supportive immobilisation when a full circumferential cast is not required. Our fracture care service works in close collaboration with your Specialist or GP, ensuring your immobilisation, monitoring, and early management align with medical recommendations for the best possible outcome.

We offer a full range of immobilisation options, including standard fibreglass casts, which are lightweight, durable, and water-resistant, as well as fully waterproof fibreglass casts using systems such as AquaCast. Waterproof liners allow you to shower, bathe, and in many cases swim while maintaining safe immobilisation. All casts are applied on-site and moulded precisely to your Specialist’s instructions, and we can coordinate follow-up imaging and advise on expected cast duration when required.

For suitable foot and ankle fractures, we also provide walker boots.
Short walker boots are ideal for metatarsal fractures, forefoot and midfoot injuries, bunion procedures, soft tissue injuries, and severe ankle sprains.
Long walker boots are used for stable fractures of the foot, ankle, or lower leg, as well as for post-operative protection. All boots feature a semi-rigid shell, adjustable compression, and a rocker-bottom sole to support a natural gait while protecting the injury.

Once your Specialist confirms it is safe to begin moving, your care transitions into our Rehabilitation program. Here we develop personalised, progressive exercise plans in our in-house gym to restore strength, mobility, balance, and functional movement, providing a smooth and coordinated progression from immobilisation to full recovery. Private health insurance rebates may be available depending on your cover.
